Grafika is a photography zine featuring a collection of portraits that explore the woman figure, identity, and self-image.
Seven women-identifying models make up this project. I wanted my subjects to interact with graphics in a bold and captivating way. By making them grayscale, I allowed them to stand out while beautifully intertwining with the vibrant colors and shapes. All of the images are featured in a sixteen page zine with a self-written poem.
In this story, Grafika represents a feminine, care-free digital existence that personifies concepts of graphic design. She is a woman who gives no thought to her imperfections. Grafika stems from my own personal battles with self-esteem, femininity, and identity.
